The Vice Prime Minister of Thailand Prajin Jantong visited Meiya Pico on 2017, November 8th. Mr. Shen Qiang, the CEO of Meiya Pico, introduced the company to him. Mr. Vice Prime Minister has expressed great interesting in the product and technology of Meiya Pico in digital forensics after the introduction of Grumps—the mobile forensics lab and the digital forensic laboratory. He believes that the application of the products and technology will definitely improve the early warning capability of the law enforcemen authorities of Thailand and lower the cost of the investigation as the same time. He also asked lot about the digital forensics training service to the overseas LEAs. After the visit, Mr. Jantong exchanged the gift with Mr. Shen Qiang, and expressed his wish to strengthen the cooperation between Thailand Law Enforcement Authorities and Meiya Pico.
Member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have gathered in southeast China’s coastal city of Xiamen for a joint counter-terrorism cyber exercise. SCO delegates and the group's anti-cyber terrorism body took part in the drill. The exercise simulates a scenario in which terrorist groups use the Internet and social networks to spread terrorism, separatism, and extremism. They are also trying to recruit members from the SCO countries. Shi Jun, China's vice minister of public security, said terrorist groups continue to use the Internet to spread violent and extremist ideas, and they also help teach related skills and expand recruitment channels. Shi added that that terrorism has severely threatened world peace and security, and has become one of the most important threats to detect, prevent and strike against. The previous – and also the first – SCO anti-cyber terrorism exercise was held in October 2015, also in Xiamen. Since then, SCO member states have worked more closely on sharing intelligence, investigating incidents, and building capacity. Yevgeniy Sysoyev, director of the Executive Committee of the SCO's Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure, said advanced technology will help build effective mechanisms to counter new challenges and threats. He told CGTN that over the past decade, they have been working to establish a unified legal basis, and coordinate efforts to strike against cyber terrorism. Besides, they set up an expert team in September 2013 to help share and exchange information. The SCO is now composed of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and India. This is the first exercise with India and Pakistan as full members since they joined the platform in June. The bloc is the world's largest regional cooperation organization in terms of area and population.
On Mar. 6th to 7th 2018, Meiya Pico has joined hands with its local partner in Sri Lanka to hold a workshop on digital forensics for the military and police in Colombo. The workshop has been attended by 60 law-enforcement personnel approximately, all of whom are from the Army, the Navy and Air Force as well as the CERT, a local emergency response department. Through the detailed product presentation by Meiya Pico's technical experts, the participants have not only gained understanding of Meiya Pico advanced smart forensics solution and its flagship product, but got deeper comprehension of products functionalities after the practical operation. Most obviously, they has been impressed with the intelligence and convenience of our products. Except that, our technical experts have conducted a successful forensics analysis and made a full report with the storage devices brought by the customers, which has won their recognition and positive comments directly. As always, Meiya Pico has stuck to the strategy of 'Going Global' and the initiative of 'Belt and Road'. By cooperating with the Ministry of Public Security, Meiya Pico has achieved fruitful accomplishments related to the oversea training, technical exchanges and service, product selling and assistance to build the forensic lab. In the future, Meiya Pico will continuously deepen its cooperation with local resellers in Sri Lanka which is also involved in 'Belt and Road' initiative so as to expand the overseas market in a proactive way.
On April 12, 2018, Meiya Pico joined hands with Dataexpert and Worldtech Information Solutions Inc. to hold a workshop on digital forensics recovery and investigation in Cebu, Philippines with nearly 100 participants, including those from Philippines Cyber Police, representatives of the Bank, Telecom, Press and also transnational corporations. The meeting started with the opening address by Mr. Robert L. Arquiza, the CEO of Worldtech Information Solutions Inc, an IT consultant company and training center in Philippines. Then Philippines Cyber Police made an introduction of local cybercrimes situation over past five years, indicating an increasing amount of cybercrimes year by year. During the exchange session, Meiya Pico has come to the stage and introduced its star products to everyone, including MagiCube, Mobile Forensic System and Anti-Drone Radar Detection System. These flagship products impressed participants deeply and won high comments as our representative gave detailed demonstration on the products' convenience and intelligence. As always, Meiya Pico has stuck to the strategy of 'Going Global' and the initiative of 'Belt and Road'. From 23rd April to 4th May 2018, Meiya Pico has been honored to attend the IACIS 2018 Annual Training event at the Orlando, Florida. Our flagship product, iDC-8811 Forensic MagiCube, has been presented and attracted attention from participants. The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), is composed of over 2800 computer forensic examiners from 60+ countries around the world. As the most authentic and professional training organization, the event has been attended by over 600 active digital forensic examiners and computer forensic lab supervisors, providing courses on computer forensics, mobile device forensics, cyber incident response, RAM capture and analysis, digital forensic laboratory planning, etc.
On May 18th, 2018, at the invitation of Mr.Tang, the governor of Fujian province, China, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, has led the governmental economic and trade delegation to pay a visit to Meiya Pico. Warmly welcomed and accompanied by Zhang Xuefeng, CMO of Meiya Pico, President Rustam has learned the latest technology and products of Meiya Pico in the digital forensics and city public security with the detailed introduction. Nowadays the world has been facing severe challenges from various risky cybercrimes. Therefore, it’s urgent to find out solution to improve the capacity of national law-enforcement agencies in combating cybercrimes and promote the city public security management, which is one of main purposes of President Rustam’s visit to Meiya Pico. Firstly, Forensics Ark Lab, one of the Meiya Pico solutions in digital forensics lab, has been introduced to President Rustam. The solution provides full support for various digital forensics, covering data acquisition, recovery and analysis. Moreover, it’s a transportable lab with container as carrier to be moved or shipped easily to countries all over the world. Then Big Data Lab introduced, President Rustam has learned the concept to combine big data informationization with city public security management. The products and services has won their high comments and applauses. At the end of the visit, Mr. Zhang has also introduced the cooperation of Meiya Pico with countries along the ‘Belt and Road’ and extended good wishes to build partnership with Tatarstan. President Rustam and the delegation have shown great interest in Meiya Pico products, and expressed appreciation for the warm reception.
